Our whole footballing life started with you Andy. The boys were so lucky to have you as their manager and your enthusiasm and encouragement made that Leybourne team. Was so moving to see everyone reunited last summer - what a lovely team of boys you created. Taken far too soon you will be missed by all that knew you. Dear Andy you were such a huge part of our footballing life right from when the boys were just 4 until they were 11. Our Leybourne team would never have existed, if you had not put yourself forward for the managers job. You totally threw yourself into the role and became a caring and driving part of Leybourne Football Club. Rest in Peace Andy. You have been taken far too soon. We live opposite to Andy and Alison and Carole recollects on Easter Sundays Andy was always on the green early hiding the Easter Eggs for the Egg Hunt. Always good fun for all the kids. Such a lovely Gentleman, sure he is now wiser than us all and will shine bright in the sky. God Bless you Andy. Love Roy and Carole. Xx

We will always remember Andy as a thoroughly nice and honest young man who was very kind. Particularly to me once when he came with Ali to visit when I was in hospital. He noticed a bunch of flowers still on my table which someone had brought earlier and not put in water. He also saw that the lady opposite me had a plant on her table that was nearly dead as this had not been watered. So he went off in search of some water for both. He was arranging my flowers while Ali and I chatted until the dreaded bell went telling everyone Visiting was over and he was told to leave. He quite calmly said we'll go when he had finished arranging these flowers. He also watered the elderly lady's plant. Duncan and I think of Andy when we see flowers in a vase and always will with love and affection. Brenda, Duncan and Richard xxx
